Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who is currently fighting at flyweight of UFC. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner at the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina later won a Silver Medal in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008, a Gold Medal in 2011 and in the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She took the fight by TKO at the end of round 2 and the following two matches were staged in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a short time off from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. In 2018, she resigned from the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss by prevailing Lucie Prudilova's fight at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke submission. It was the top fight of the night in that bout. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
